Jae Kuk Ryu fell to 1-1 on the season in the Bulls 7-4 loss to the Yankees.  He gave up four runs on five hits and two walks with five strikeouts in four innings.

Ben Zobrist was the hitting star in the loss.  He went one for three with a solo homerun, two walks and two runs.

Jason Hammel dropped to 1-5 on the season with another tough start. He gave up six runs on five hits and four walks with three strikeouts in 4 2/3 innings.

Shawn Riggans hit a three run homer to account for most of the Bulls offense in the 7-4 loss.  Ben Zobrist drove in the other run with a solo shot.

Andy Sonnanstine improved to 5-2 on the season with another great start.  He gave up just one run on two hits and two walks with ten strikeouts in seven innings of work.  He’s now struck out 57 batters in 52 2/3 innings and opponents are hitting just .188 against him.  Just as good, he’s walked only nine batters.

Brent Butler and Elliot Johnson each hit solo homeruns in the 3-1 win.  Ben Zobrist was the only Bull with two hits in the game.
