Jae Seo dropped to 1-1 on the season with a pretty poor start in the Bulls 10-4 loss to Rochester. He gave up nine runs on twelve hits and two walks with one strikeout in 3 2/3 innings.
Brent Butler doubled twice and he drove in a run. Jorge Velandia hit a solo homerun in the loss.
The Bulls lost 3-2 in a rain shortened game in Ottawa. Tony Peguero gave up three runs on six hits and a walk in 4 1/3 innings and the loss drops him to 0-2 on the season.
Brent Butler provided all of the Bulls runs with one swing of the bat. He hit a two run homer in the fifth inning.
Andy Sonnanstine improved to 5-2 on the season with another great start. He gave up just one run on two hits and two walks with ten strikeouts in seven innings of work. He’s now struck out 57 batters in 52 2/3 innings and opponents are hitting just .188 against him. Just as good, he’s walked only nine batters.
Brent Butler and Elliot Johnson each hit solo homeruns in the 3-1 win. Ben Zobrist was the only Bull with two hits in the game.
This game was pretty ugly. Jeff Niemann gave up seven runs in his 5 1/3 innings and he took the loss. He only gave up seven hits and he didn’t walk anyone, but he was the victim of two homers that cost him.
Brent Butler scored the only run of the game in the 7-1 loss. He went one for two and he drew two walks.
