The Biscuits won a huge game three as they took a two games to one lead in their best of five game series with Huntsville. It was Christopher Mason who got it done on the mound with six shutout innings. He gave up eight hits and three walks with six strikeouts in the win. Equally as impressive was Evan Meek, who struck out six in three innings of relief.
Chris Nowak went two for four with a solo homer. Fernando Perez went one for five but he drove in two runs.
The Biscuits lost an ugly 8-4 game at the hands of Huntsville as they kicked off their Southern League championship series. Wade Davis was tagged for four runs in 4 1/3 innings while Richard De Los Santos gave up a run to take the loss.
Chris Nowak had the big hit for the Biscuits with a three run homer. Gabriel Martinez also went yard with a solo homer.
While he didn’t pick up the win, Jonathan Barratt threw a great game to keep the Biscuits in the game. He gave up one run on three hits and four walks with seven strikeouts in six innings. Brian Henderson picked up the win with 1 2/3 innings of shutout relief.
Evan Longoria hit a solo homerun in the win. Chris Nowak singled and drove in two runs.
Chris Nowak hit a walk off solo homer in the bottom of the tenth inning as the Biscuits topped Carolina 4-3. Nowak finished the game three for five and the solo homerun was his second RBI of the game.
Brian Henderson picked up the win by getting the final two batters out in the tenth. James Houser was solid in his start and he gave up two runs on five hits and one walk with seven strikeouts in six innings.
The Biscuits picked up seven hits but they were shutout in their 3-0 loss to Mississippi. Reid Brignac and Chris Nowak each had two hits in the loss.
Jonathan Barratt dropped to 0-3 on the season. He gave up three runs (one earned) on nine hits and three walks with three strikeouts in six innings of work.
The Biscuits scored three runs in the sixth inning to beat Birmingham 4-3. Chris Nowack went three for four and he scored a run while Gabriel Martinez singled, drove in a run and scored.
Jonathan Barratt was solid in his start. He gave up two runs on seven hits and three walks with one strikeout in 5 1/3 innings. Jeremy Flanagan picked up the win and he improved to 3-1 on the season.
James Houser improved to 2-0 on the season with 6 1/3 shutout innings. He gave up just two hits and a walk and he struck out seven in the win.
Chris Nowak got it done at the plate. He went two for three with a triple and he drove in three runs. John Jaso also had a nice game and he went three for three with a double and two runs.
The Biscuits got plenty of offense in their 13-6 win over Huntsville. Gabriel Martinez led the way with a big day at the plate. He went three for four with a homerun, five RBIs and two runs. Chris Nowak homered and scored three times and both Fernando Perez and Jason Pridie homered and drove in two runs.
Christopher Mason had a solid start to go with all the run support and he improved to 2-0 on the year. He gave up one unearned run on four hits with seven strikeouts in six innings.
Derek Feldkamp had a solid start wasted as the Biscuits scored just one run an in eleven loss to Huntsville. He gave up a single run on five hits and a walk with five strikeouts in five innings. Brian Henderson took the loss when he gave up a solo homerun in the eleventh.
Chris Nowak drove in the only run of the game. Evan Longoria singled twice and Brooks Badeaux went two for five with a triple and he scored the only run in the 2-1 loss.
Mike Prochaska was hit hard in the Biscuits first loss of the season. He gave up eight runs (six earned) on six hits and two walks in just two innings of work.
Chris Nowak had two hits and an RBI and Evan Longoria was held hitless for the first time this season.
