Vero Beach was probably looking for rain in this one because they lost 16-0.  The offense picked up just five hits and Garrett Groce was the only Ray with two hits.

Jeff Kamrath dropped to 1-5 on the season.  He gave up seven runs on seven hits and three walks with four strikeouts in 3 1/3 innings.

Vero Beach never got their bats going in a 4-1 loss to Tampa.  Patrick Cottrell drove in the only run of the game.  Garrett Groce went two for four with a double and he scored the only run.

Eddie De La Cruz took the loss when he gave up three runs in tenth inning.  He gave up three runs on three hits in 1 2/3 innings and the loss drops his record to 2-2 on the season. 

Vero Beach was held to just four hits in an opening day shutout at the hands of St. Lucie.  Garrett Groce had two of the four hits and Rhyne Hughes had the only extra base hit with a double.

Jacob McGee walked four and struck out four in three shutout innings.  Jeffrey Kamrath gave up a run and took the loss but he struck out four in 2 2/3 innings.
