Jacob McGee Pitches Vero Beach To Win Over Lakeland

Jacob McGee got it done on the mound in Vero Beach’s 6-2 win over Lakeland.  He gave up two runs on three hits and three walks with eight strikeouts in six innings of work.

Jackson Brennan went two for three with a double, two walks, an RBI and a run.  Neil Walton went two for four with a homerun, a triple, two RBIs and two runs.

Jacob McGee Throws Seven Shutout Innings In Vero Beach Win

Jacob McGee improved to 3-1 on the season with a nice start against Daytona. He gave up five hits and he struck out six in seven shutout innings.

Vero Beach picked up only five hits but they made them count in the 2-0 win.  Jackson Brennan went one for three with an RBI.

Rhyne Hughes Hits Vero Beach to Win Over Daytona

Rhyne Hughes had a big game at the plate today in Vero Beach’s 6-4 win over Daytona.  He went three for four with a double, two runs and an RBI.  Neil Walton and Jackson Brennan each drove in two runs and Christian Lopez scored twice.

Wade Davis was hit hard in his loss but the bullpen did their job and the hitters put together some late rallies.  He gave up four runs (three earned) on five hits and two walks with six strikeouts in 4 1/3 innings.  Jino Gonzalez picked up the win with 1 2/3 innings of shutout ball.

Matthew Walker Hammered in Vero Beach Loss

Vero Beach was blown out by Palm Beach 10-2 and Matthew Walker took it on the chin.  He gave up five runs on five hits and two walks with three strikeouts in four innings of work.

Jackson Brennan was perfect with the stick.  He went three for three and he scored both of the Devil Ray’s runs.

Vero Beach Splits Doubleheader With Daytona

Vero Beach got no offense in a first game loss against Daytona then scored way more then they needed in a second game win. Paul Moviel took the loss in game one and he gave up four runs (two earned) on six hits and a walk with four strikeouts in 5 2/3 innings.  Jackson Brennan doubled twice and drove in the only run in the 5-1 loss.

Jacob McGee threw six shutout innings in the second game and the Rays picked up an 8-1 win.  He gave up one run on four hits with six strikeouts.  Brennan again got it done with a big game at the plate.  He hit a grand slam and finished with five RBIs to cap off a very nice day for the center fielder.
