Jacob McGee dropped to 4-2 on the season with a rought start in Vero Beach’s 7-2 loss to Sarasota. He gave up six runs on eight hits and a walk with five strikeouts in 5 2/3 innings.
Erold Andrus was the hitting star (if you want to call him that). He went one for three with a double, a walk and a run.
Vero Beach got plenty of hits against Tampa but still lost 5-2. James Hall was the hitting star and he went three for four with an RBI.
Jacob McGee had a pretty nice start go to waste. He gave up two runs on four hits and one walk with eight strikeouts. Kevin Lynn gave up three runs in two innings and he took the loss.
Jacob McGee got it done on the mound in Vero Beach’s 6-2 win over Lakeland. He gave up two runs on three hits and three walks with eight strikeouts in six innings of work.
Jackson Brennan went two for three with a double, two walks, an RBI and a run. Neil Walton went two for four with a homerun, a triple, two RBIs and two runs.
Jacob McGee improved to 3-1 on the season with a nice start against Daytona. He gave up five hits and he struck out six in seven shutout innings.
Vero Beach picked up only five hits but they made them count in the 2-0 win. Jackson Brennan went one for three with an RBI.
Vero Beach was shut down at the plate in their 7-1 loss to Brevard County. They picked up just two hits one of those was a triple by Christian Lopez that he scored on.
Jacob McGee took the loss and he dropped to 1-1. He gave up four runs on six hits and three walks with one strikeouts.
Jacob McGee was pretty good on the mound today. He gave up just two hits and a walk with nine strikeouts in 5 2/3 shutout innings. Unfortunately, Kevin Lynn was hammered for nine runs in relief and he blew McGee’s great start as Vero Beach lost 5-4. McGee now has 19 strikeouts in 14 2/3 innings and he’s given up just one earned run.
Erold Andrus was the only Devil Ray with two hits. He went two for four with a run.
Vero Beach got no offense in a first game loss against Daytona then scored way more then they needed in a second game win. Paul Moviel took the loss in game one and he gave up four runs (two earned) on six hits and a walk with four strikeouts in 5 2/3 innings. Jackson Brennan doubled twice and drove in the only run in the 5-1 loss.
Jacob McGee threw six shutout innings in the second game and the Rays picked up an 8-1 win. He gave up one run on four hits with six strikeouts. Brennan again got it done with a big game at the plate. He hit a grand slam and finished with five RBIs to cap off a very nice day for the center fielder.
Vero Beach was held to just four hits in an opening day shutout at the hands of St. Lucie. Garrett Groce had two of the four hits and Rhyne Hughes had the only extra base hit with a double.
Jacob McGee walked four and struck out four in three shutout innings. Jeffrey Kamrath gave up a run and took the loss but he struck out four in 2 2/3 innings.
