Chris Kelly gave up a run in the bottom of the tenth inning in their 3-2 loss to Tampa. Jeff Kamrath had a decent start go to waste in the loss. He gave up two runs on five hits and four walks with five strikeouts in 5 2/3 innings.
Rhyne Hughes doubled and he scored on the Ray’s two runs. Neil Walton drove in the other run with a solo homerun in the third inning.
Vero Beach was probably looking for rain in this one because they lost 16-0. The offense picked up just five hits and Garrett Groce was the only Ray with two hits.
Jeff Kamrath dropped to 1-5 on the season. He gave up seven runs on seven hits and three walks with four strikeouts in 3 1/3 innings.
Hunter Vick singled three times and that accounted for more then half of Vero Beach’s hits in their 3-2 loss to Brevard County. He also scored twice one of the two runs.
Jeffrey Kamrath took the loss when he gave up one run in his 1 1/3 innings of relief. He gave up two hits and he struck out three.
Erold Andrus had a really nice day at the plate in Vero Beach’s 4-3 win over Daytona. He went three for four with a double, a homerun, a stolen base and two RBIs. James Hall had two hits and two runs.
Wade Davis gave up three runs on seven hits and two walks with two strikeouts in six innings in no decision. Jeffrey Kamrath struck out two and he picked up thw win.
Vero Beach lost to St. Lucie 5-3 and all of the runs were driven in by Christian Lopez. He went two for four with three RBIs. Patrick Cottrell went one for two with two walks and two runs.
Jeffrey Kamrath took the loss when he gave up three runs in seventh. He threw in relief of Matthew Walker, who struck out five in five innings.
Vero Beach was held to just four hits in an opening day shutout at the hands of St. Lucie. Garrett Groce had two of the four hits and Rhyne Hughes had the only extra base hit with a double.
Jacob McGee walked four and struck out four in three shutout innings. Jeffrey Kamrath gave up a run and took the loss but he struck out four in 2 2/3 innings.
