Chris Richard Sets Stage In Bulls Win

Chris Richard hit a first inning grand slam and while it didn’t turn out to be enough, the hit definitely set the stage for the Bulls 8-4 win.  Joel Guzman also homered and he drove in two runs while Jorge Valandia went one for three with two walks and two runs.

Jeff Niemann improved to 7-4 on the season with a decent start.  He gave up four runs on eight hits and two walks with three strikeouts in six innings.

Jeremy Owens Drives In Three Runs In Bulls Loss

The Bulls lost to the Yankees 7-5 and Jeremy Owens had a nice day at the plate despite the loss.  He went two for three with a triple and three RBIs.  Joel Guzman hit a solo homerun, walked twice and scored two runs.

Steve Andrade was shelled and he fell to 2-2 on the season.  He gave up four runs in just one inning.

Joel Guzman Drives In Three In Bulls Win

Joel Guzman had a nice day at the plate in the Bulls 7-3 win over Indianapolis.  He went two for four with a double and three RBIs.  Justin Ruggiano also had a nice game and he went three for four with an RBI and two runs.

Scott Dohmann picked up the win with two nice shutout innings of relief.  He gave up a single hit and he struck out one and the win pushes his record to 3-1 on the season.

Jae Kuk Ryu Pitches Bulls to Win Over Indianapolis

Jae Kuk Ryu improved to 1-0 with a nice start in the Bulls 2-1 win over Indianapolis.  He gave up one run on three hits with seven strikeouts in five innings.

Joel Guzman was the hitting star in the win.  He went three for four with a double and an RBI.

Joel Guzman Helps Hit Bulls to Win

The Bulls got plenty of offense in the Bulls 9-5 win over Ottawa and while just about everyone was a hitting star, Joel Guzman had a particularly good day at the plate.  He went three for five with two runs and an RBI.  Joshua Johnson had an idential line to Guzman and Justin Ruggiano went three for five with two douboes, one run and one RBI.

Jason Hammel picked up the win despite a mediocre start.  He gave up four runs on seven hits and three walks with five strikeouts in five innings.

Joel Guzman Drives In Four Runs In Bulls Fourteen Inning Win

The Bulls scored four runs in the top of the fourteenth inning to beat Rochester 10-6.  Joel Guzman provided a bunch of the offense and he went two for six with a double, a homerun and four RBIs.  Justin Ruggiano went two for six with a double, a homerun and three runs scored.

Steve Andrade three three shutout innings and he picked up the win.  J.P. Howell had a nice start and he threw five shutout innings.

Chris Richard Hits Bulls to Win Over Chiefs

The Bulls blew out the Chiefs 10-3 and Chris Richard led the way at the plate.  He went three for five with a homerun, three RBIs and two runs.  Joel Guzman also had a nice game and he went two for four with a homerun and three RBIs.

Andy Sonanstine improved to 6-2 on the season with six solid innings.  He gave up three runs on seven hits and three walks with three strikeouts.

Elliot Johnson, Joel Guzman Both Go Yard In Bulls Win

The Bulls topped Charlotte 5-2 and most of the offense came on homeruns.  Elliot Johnson hit a two run shot and Joel Guzman hit a solo shot.

Jeff Niemann picked up the win with five decent innings.  He gave up two runs on six hits and two walks with five strikeouts and it was Niemann’s first win of the season.

Bulls Lose to Mud Hens in Sixteen Innings

The Bulls came from behind to send on two different occasions to keep this game going but they finally lost it in the sixteenth 7-4.  Tim Corcoran took the loss when he gave up the three runs in the sixteenth and he dropped to 1-1.  Chad Orvella struck out four in three shutout innings and Jeff Niemann struck out eight and he gave up three runs in his start.

Joel Guzman was the hitting star.  He went two for five with a homerun and three RBIs.

Joel Guzman, Shawn Riggans Homer and Drive in Three in Bulls Win

The Bulls pitching was spotty, but they got just enough offense to pick up the win over the Clippers.  The final was 9-8 but some late runs by Columbus turned this game into a tight one.  Joel Guzman and Shawn Riggans each hit three run.  Jorge Cantu also had a nice game with three hits and three runs.

Jason Hammel had a rough start and he gave up five runs on six hits and five walks with three strikeouts in four innings.  Tim Corcoran picked up the win with three shutout frames.

Joel Guzman Drive in Two Runs in Bulls Loss

Bulls pitchers gave up a ton of hits and ended up losing to Pawtucket 5-3.  J.P. Howell gave up two runs on eight hits in 5 2/3 innings in his start and Seth McClung was hit hard for three runs in one innings as he took the loss.

Joel Guzman drove in two runs and Chris Richard walked three times and scored a run.  The only player with two hits was Matthew Maniscalco, who went two for three with a walk.
