The Biscuits snatched victory from the jaws of defeat as they bested Huntsville in a winner take all game five for the Southern League championship. Down to their final two outs. Sergio Pedroza belted a huge three run homer in the top of the ninth to turn a 3-1 deficit into a 4-3 win. Chris Nowak went four for four with a run and Reid Brignac doubled and scored.
All three runs that Richard De Los Santos gave up were unearned, which would have made the loss particularly difficult. Brian Henderson picked up the win with a shutout eighth and he struck out two of three batters he faced.
The Biscuits locked up their spot in the Southern League championship with a 12-5 blowout win over Mississippi to take the series 3-1. Reid Brignac went three for three with two walks, three RBIs and two runs. Erold Andrus went three for five with a homerun, three RBIs and two runs while Josh Asanovich went two for three with two walks and three runs.
Mike Prochaska picked up the win with a decent enough start. He gave up three runs on nine hits and two walks with five strikeouts in 5 2/3 innings. The Biscuits next opponent isn’t certain yet as Tennessee and Huntsville’s series went to five games and the deciding game will be played tomorrow.
The Biscuits beat the Braves 6-5 and it was Reid Brignac who singled home the go ahead run in the top of the ninth. Brignac finished the game with two hits and three RBIs and Josh Asanovich doubled, hit a solo homer and scored three times.
Evan Meek picked up the win with a shutout eighth inning. Tim Corcoran was very impressive in the ninth inning. He did give up a hit, but he struck out the side.
Gabriel Martinez had a big day at the plate and despite picking up just one hit, he drove in four runs in the Biscuits 7-4 win. That lone hit was his twelth homerun of the season and Reid Brignac went one for three with two walks and three runs.
Tim Corcoran improved to 1-1 on the season with the win. He didn’t give up a base runner and he struck out two in two shutout innings.
Reid Brignac belted a walk off solo homerun in the ninth inning to push the Biscuits to an 8-7 win over the Braves. While he didn’t bring home the winning run, Gabriel Martinez also had a productive day at the plate. He went two for four with a double, two RBIs and two runs.
Dale Thayer improved to 8-0 on the season despite giving up the tying run in the top of the ninth inning. He gave up a run on two hits in his one inning of work in the ninth.
Biscuit hitters had a tough day at the plate in their 7-1 loss to the Suns. Reid Brignac seemed to be the only hitter to show up. He went two for three with two triples and a run.
Jonathan Barratt fell to 1-4 with a tough start. He gave up seven runs on nine hits and three walks with two strikeouts in 3 1/3 innings.
The Biscuits were held in check at the plate in their 3-2 loss to Mobile. No hitter had more then one hit and Reid Brignac went one for four with a triple and a run.
Brian Henderson took the loss. It was hit baserunner that scored in the ninth that turned out to be the deciding run. He had a hard time finding the plate and he walked three in his 2/3 of an inning.
Reid Brignac led the way for the Biscuits at the plate in their 5-3 win over Mobile. He went three for four with a solo homerun. Fernando Perez went two for four with a solo homerun and two runs scored.
Jeremy Flanagan picked up the win. He threw 1 1/3 shutout innings and the win pushes his record to 4-2 on the season.
Christopher Mason improved to an impressive 8-1 record with another nice start for the Biscuits in their 4-2 in over Carolina. He gave up one run on six hits and three walks with five strikeouts in six innings of work.
Reid Brignac hit a two run homer in the win. Gabriel Martinez went two for four with a two run homer and Fernando Perez went three for four with a run.
The Biscuits were down 3-0 heading into the eighth but the Biscuits scored two runs in the eighth and then two in the ninth to win it. Jason Pridie singled home the winning run. Reid Brignac drove in two runs and Pridie finished with two hits and he scored a run.
Dale Thayer picked up the win and he improved to 4-0 on the season. He gave up a hit and he struck out two in a shutout ninth.
The Biscuits scored in only one inning, but it was a big as they scored all four of their runs to come back to beat Mississippi 4-3. Reid Brignac went two for three with a run and Patrick Breen went three for four with a double and a run.
Mike Prochaska had a nice start but he didn’t pick up the win. He gave up two runs on six hits and two walks with three innings strikeouts in six innings. Evan Meek picked up the win and he gave up one run in 1 2/3 innings.
The Biscuits picked up seven hits but they were shutout in their 3-0 loss to Mississippi. Reid Brignac and Chris Nowak each had two hits in the loss.

Chris Seddon picked up the win and he improved to 2-1. He gave up four runs on eight hits and three walks with three strikeouts in six innings.
The Biscuits couldn’t push a single runner across the plate in their 3-0 loss to Huntsville. Reid Brignac had three of the six hits and two of them were doubles.
Mike Prochaska had a pretty nice start wasted because of the lack of run support. He gave up two runs on four hits with seven strikeouts in seven innings. The loss drops his record to 0-2.
The Biscuits won 7-6 over Huntsville and Evan Longoria led the way with a two for three game. He homered and drove in three runs while Reid Brignac finished with three hits, two RBIs and a run.
Chris Seddon had a tough start and while he pitched five, he didn’t get the decision. He gave up five runs on five hits and one walk with four strikeouts. Brett Wayne struck out five and gave up one run 2 2/3 inning to pick up the win and Dale Thayer struck out three of the four batters he faced to pick up his fourth save.
The Biscuits took a 2-0 lead into the eighth and gave up three runs in the final two frames to lose it 3-2. A good start by Mike Prochaska went to waste. He gave up just one hit and two walks with three strikeouts in five shutout innings. Richard De Los Santos gave up the run that lost it in the ninth.
Reid Brignac drove in both Biscuit runs. Fernando Perez finished the game with two hits and he scored both runs.
Christopher Mason won his first start of the season in a great start. He gave up one run on six hits with three walks in 6 2/3 innings of work.
Reid Brignac provided most of the offense with a homerun and two RBIs in the 3-2 win. Both Jason Pridie and Josh Asanovich had two hits and a run.
The Biscuits didn’t get much offense in the first ten innings of this game but they made up for it in the eleventh when they scored seven runs. Fernando Perez went one for four with two walks and three runs while Reid Brignac and Shaun Cumberland each had two hits, two RBIs and a run.
James Houser had a decent start that didn’t end up going to waste. He gave up two runs on two hits and two walks with three strikeouts in 5 1/3 innings. Brett Wayne was very impressive in the final two frames to pick up the win. He struck out five and gave up two hits.
Shortstop Reid Brignac got it done at the plate in the Biscuits 6-5 win over West Tennessee. He singled twice, walked and scored three times. Evan Longoria also had a nice game with two hits and two RBIs. This is quite the dynamic duo.
James Houser picked up the start despite a mediocre outing. He gave up four runs (two earned) on four hits and one strikeout in five innings of work.
Reid Brignac led an eight run, fourteen hit attack as the Biscuits beat West Tennesse. The shortstop went two for four with a homerun, three RBIs and two runs. Evan Longoria had another solid game as well. He went three for four with a double, a run and an RBI.
Derek Feldkamp lasted just four innings but he struck out seven in his start. Nick Debarr gave up a run but he struck out four in 1 1/3 and he ended up with the win.
Chris Seddon had a gem of a game last night as the Biscuits beat up on West Tennessee in a 4-0 win. Chris Seddon threw seven shutout innings and gave up just one hit in a great start. He walked one and struck out five.
Evan Longoria had a big game for the Biscuits. He went two for four with a double, an RBI and two runs in the win. Reid Brignac singled twice, drove in a run and scored.
