Ryan Morse had a mixed start. On the one hand, he gave up four runs (three earned) on eight hits and two walks and he took the loss. On the other hand, he struck out a season high nine batters.
Nevin Ashley was the only Catfish hitter with two hits. He went two for four in the 6-2 loss.
A great start by Wade Townsend was wasted in the Catfish’s 6-4 loss to Charleston. He gave up one run on three hits and a walk with seven strikeouts in five innings. Ryan Morse took the loss and he gave up five runs in just 2/3 of an inning.
Desmond Jennings scored two of the four runs and Ryan Royster went two for three.
Ryan Morse had a nice start in today’s start. He gave up just one run on five hits and two walks with three strikeouts in six innings of work. He improved to 2-0 on the season with the win.
Nevin Ashley doubled and drove in two runs in the 5-1 win. Maiko Loyola went one for two with a double, a walk and two runs.
Ryan Morse was hard to hit as the Catfish beat Greenville 6-1. He threw six shutout innings and he gave up just three hits and a walk with four strikeouts.
John Matulia had two singles and three RBIs as he led the way for the offense. Ryan Royster hit a solo homerun and he finished with two runs.
The Catfish couldn’t get the bats going in their 4-1 loss to Kannapolis. Jairo De La Rossa singled home Joey Callender for the only run of the game.
A solid start by Ryan Morse went to waste. He gave up a single run on just three hits with two strikeouts in a six inning no decision.
