The Catfish weren’t able to get much from their hitters in a 3-1 loss to the RiverDogs. Three hits won’t cut it in most games and it didn’t in this one. All three hits were singles and Nevin Ashley drove in the only run of the game for the Cat Fish.
Ryan Reid took the loss in his two innings of relief. He gave up two runs on three hits with four strikeouts and the loss dropped him to 4-4 on the season.
The Catfish didn’t get much offense in their 5-2 loss to the RiverDogs. Quinn Stewart was the only Catfish hitter with two hits and one of them was a solo homerun.
A nice start by Heath Rollins went to waste. He gave up one run on six hits and two walks with three strikeouts in six innings. Ryan Reid took the loss and he gave up four runs in the seventh inning.
The Catfish got it done and the notched their fifth straight win. They needed eleven innings to top Rome 4-3, but they got it done.
Cesar Suarez drove in two runs and he finished with three hits. Maiko Loyola was a perfect four for four and he scored a run while Ryan Reid picked up the win with three shutout innings of relief.
The Catfish scored three runs in fifteen innings and then in the sixteenth, they exploded for five runs to win it 8-3. Quinn Stewart finished with three hits, three RBIs and a run while Desmond Jennings went four for seven with a double and two runs.
Ryan Reid picked up the win with four perfect innings to close out the game. He struck out four and the win pushed his record to 1-1.
Wade Townsend threw five innings of two hit shutout ball as the Catfish won their season opener over Kannpolis. He struck out six and walked just one in the win. Also impressive on the mound was Ryan Reid. He struck out four in three innings.
Quinn Stewart had a monster game at the plate. He went two for four with a homerun, three RBIs and two runs. Matthew Fields hit a two run homeruns while Cesar Suarez had two hits including a double in the 6-1 win.
