Mike Prochaska Is Hit Hard in Biscuits Loss

Mike Prochaska dropped to 1-5 on the season with a tough start in the Biscuits 4-2 loss to Huntsville.  He gave up four runs (three earned) on seven hits and four walks with three strikeouts in 5 1/3 innings.

John Jaso was the only Biscuit with two hits.  Shaun Cumberland hit a solo homerun.

Brooks Badeaux Drives In Three Runs in Biscuits Win

The Biscuits topped the Barons 7-4 and Brooks Badeaux led the way at the plate in the win.  He went two for three with a double, three RBIs and a run.  Shaun Cumberland also had a nice game.  He went two for three with a two run homer.

Richard De Los Santos picked up the win. He threw two shutout inning of relief and he gave up a hit with two strikeouts.

Biscuits Hold Off Lookouts in One Run Win

Shaun Cumberland got it done at the plate for the Biscuits in their 7-6 over the Lookouts.  He went two for four with a homerun, two RBIs and two runs.  Evan Longoria continued to rake and he doubled, drove in two and scored a run.

Jeremy Flanagan picked up the win with three shutout innings of relief.  He gave up just one hit and he struck out two.

Biscuits Score Seven in the Eleventh in Win Over Lookouts

The Biscuits didn’t get much offense in the first ten innings of this game but they made up for it in the eleventh when they scored seven runs.  Fernando Perez went one for four with two walks and three runs while Reid Brignac and Shaun Cumberland each had two hits, two RBIs and a run.

James Houser had a decent start that didn’t end up going to waste.  He gave up two runs on two hits and two walks with three strikeouts in 5 1/3 innings.  Brett Wayne was very impressive in the final two frames to pick up the win.  He struck out five and gave up two hits.

Evan Longoria Belts First Homerun in Biscuits Win

Evan Longoria is one of the Devil Rays prize prospects and he’s gotten off to a great start this season.  He went one for two with a homerun, two RBIs and two runs in the Biscuits 4-2 win over West Tennessee.  Shaun Cumberland also had a solid game with three hits and an RBI.

Christopher Mason had a solid start.  He gave up just a single run on four hits and a walk with five strikeouts.
