Woods Fines fell to 4-5 on the season with a rough start in the Cat Fish’s 5-3 loss to Greenville. He gave up four runs on eight hits and a walk with three strikeouts in four innings.
Desmond Jennings had a nice day at the plate in the loss. He went two for five with a double and two RBIs.
The Cat Fish didn’t get much from their offense in a 4-1 loss to the RiverDogs. Ryan Royster had two of the Cat Fish’s four hits with a double and a triple.

The Catfish had a rough time at the plate in their 5-3 loss to Rome. Cesar Suarez singled and he drove in two runs in the loss while Desmond Jennings scored two runs.

The Catfish went down early 7-3 and they stormed back with five unanswered runs to beat the RiverDogs 8-7. Cesar Suarez was the hitting star in the win. He went three for five with a double, two runs and an RBI.
Woods Fines was hit hard in his loss but the hitters picked him up. Neal Frontz picked up the win and he improved to 3-4 on the season.
Woods Fines got it done on the mound in the Catfish’s 2-0 win over the Sand Gnats. He improved to 4-2 on the season and he gave up four hits and a walk with four strikeouts in six shutout innings.
John Matulia was the hitting star. He went three for four with a run.
The Catfish beat the Sand Gnats 8-5 and John Matulia had a hand in half of those runs. He went two for five with a triple, two runs and two RBIs. Desmond Jennings went three for five with a homerun and a run.
Woods Fines was hit hard and he gave up five runs in five innings but the hitters picked him up. Chris Kelly picked up the win with two shutout innings of relief.
Woods Fines dropped to 1-2 on the season with a tough start against the RiverDogs. He gave up five runs (three earned) on seven hits and five walks with a strikeout in 3 2/3 innings.

The Catfish split a pair of games with Asheville as they made up Sunday’s rain out. The Catfish took the first one with a nice outing by Wade Townsend. He gave up just a single run on three hits and three walks with six strikeouts in five innings and the win improved his record to 2-1. Jairo de la Rossa drove in two runs in the 6-2 win.
The second game was a blowout Woods Fines had his first rough start of the season. He gave up six runs in three innings and both Catfish relievers were also hit hard in the 13-5 loss. Quinn Stewart hit a two run homer and Cesar Suarez had three hits and two RBIs in the loss.
Woods Fines picked up his first win of the season with five shutout innings. He gave up five hits and three walks with four strikeouts.
Nevin Ashley led the Catfish at the plate in the 5-2 win. He went three for five with a triple and two RBIs.
You can’t blame the starter for this one. Woods Fines was very impressive in his start for the Catfish. He threw five no hit innings and walked three with seven strikeouts in a very impressive start. Two different relievers gave up three runs a piece in the ninth inning though and Fines got nothing to show for his efforts.
Matthew Fields had a solid game at the plate. He went one for four with a triple, a run and an RBI.
